Kacy Kelly

I am an alumni of South Brunswick High School’s class of 2008. During my high school years, I played volleyball, earning the MVP honor for my senior year. After high school, I went on to get my B.A in Special Education at Kean University. After graduating in 2012, I began working in the SB School District through subbing and shortly after obtaining a position in the Special Education Department, where I currently work with the Life Skills program. I began coaching volleyball for South Brunswick in 2014 and took over the Girl’s program in 2015 while coaching at the Junior Varsity levels for the Boy’s program. In 2019, I took over the Boys program, as well. These past eight years have been a huge learning experience for me, and each season comes with more experience and wisdom. It is a full circle experience having the opportunity to coach on the court where I once played. Coaching has given me such a different perspective to the game, and I feel that having played myself gives me the chance to relate and empathize with my student-athletes. Volleyball has been a huge part of my life for more than a decade, and I take a lot of pride and honor when it comes to the volleyball program here at SBHS. We strive to make a community that allows student-athletes to blossom both on and off the court.
