Joe Dougherty
I graduated from Bloomsburg State College, now Bloomsburg University, with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I taught at Crossroads Middle School for 32 years, retiring in 2020. While at the middle school, I taught Social Studies, Computer Technology, and Technology Integration before ending my tenure as the Dean of Students. During my 17 years as the Girls Golf Coach at SBHS, our teams have amassed a record of 155 and 76 and I was named GMC Coach of the Year three times, most recently in the 2022 season. We won the GMC tournament five times and placed second in the state tournament in 2009. In addition, the team qualified for the state sectional tournament five of the last six years. Also, I have coached baseball, gymnastics, and wrestling, all in South Brunswick. I was recently inducted into the SBHS Athletics Hall of Fame, Class of 2022. I live in Monroe with my wife Marianne.
